When you volunteer, you provide an invaluable service to help the Millard Business Community Foundation achieve its Mission:
The Millard Business Community Foundation’s purpose is to provide support and service for worthwhile endeavors in the Millard and Greater Omaha areas.
In addition to collecting diapers for our nominated families, Project Wee Care volunteers will prepare the diapers for distribution. Diaper wrapping at the Nebraska Diaper Bank facility, 9100 F Street. Date to be determined.
Heartland Hope Mission is partnering with Project Wee Care to provide food to nominated families. Volunteers are invited to join us in packing food at the Heartland Hope Mission facility at 15555 Industrial. Date to be determined.
Volunteers will gather to purchase gifts for our nominated families using funds provided by Child/Family Sponsors. The shopping dates to be determined.
The North Pole will become a winter wonderland. Preparing the North Pole includes moving tables and decorating. Volunteers will accept Gifts from sponsors that shopped for families, wrapping gifts, and preparing the wrapped gifts for pickup.
300 plus families will descend upon the North Pole (Waters Edge Church) to experience all the activities: support dogs, photo booth, Santa, selecting gifts for parents/guardians, connections to non profits for ongoing services (food, clothing, mental health, beds, diapers), and an eye check. Families will leave with food, food vouchers, gifts for all, diapers, important connections, and HOPE. Volunteers are needed to help with parking, greeting, being a host/hostess for families, assisting with the various activities, and carrying items to the families’ vehicles. We plan to have three shifts throughout the day. In 2023 we had 180 volunteers, and needed all of them.
