Project Wee Care: Adopt to Shop

Help make Christmas magical for a child this holiday season by Adopting to Shop for a child or family.  We’ll provide the wish list for each child, you do the shopping and gift wrapping.  This is the corner stone of Project Wee Care that helps us provide “Hope” to 300 families nominated by Millard Public Schools.

Project Wee Care: Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of Project Wee Care.  It is the volunteers that make Project Wee Care so special. More than 250 volunteers are expected to help make Project Wee Care 2026 a success.
Volunteer Opportunities include:
  • Wrapping diapers at the Nebraska Diaper Bank (November 17 afternoon and evening)
  • Shopping for Gifts at Target with donated funds (November 17 morning, December 1 evening, and December 4 morning).
  • Bagging food at Heartland Hope Mission (December 4 afternoon)
  • Setting up the North Pole which includes decorating, setting up tables, wrapping gifts and preparing the North Pole (December 5-8)
  • Project Wee Care North Pole Family Day, includes everything from greeting families, hosting families, carrying food and gifts, assisting kids with crafts, distributing food, and accepting hugs from the families (December 12, choose from one of three two hour shifts)

Project Wee Care: Financial Support

Financial support from individuals, organizations and businesses allows us to purchase holiday gifts and food for the nominated families.  Individuals that don’t like to shop can provide donations in place of Adopting to Shop. Businesses and Organizations can be a sponsor and receive recognition depending upon the size of the donation. Financial contributions are made to Millard Business Community Foundation, a 501C3 non profit.

School Connect

School Connect has grown in the last three years from the original two Millard Schools (Rockwell Elementary and Andersen Middle Schools) to 20 schools across the Omaha Metro area. This is an opportunity for individuals, Churches, organizations and businesses to come alongside local schools with intentional care and tangible support.
The Mission is to identify the highest needs of a particular school and then work together to meet that need. This is an invitation to build lasting relationships that help schools, students, and communities flourish.
