Annual Scholarship Golf Scramble September 16

Beautiful Oak Hills Country Club, prizes, food, fun and 18 holes of scramble golf await participants at the 21st Annual Scholarship Golf Scramble September 16.

Registrations and Sponsorships are being accepted.  Proceeds from the event will provide six $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors from the three Millard Public High Schools and Skutt High School.

Meet Our Foundations Officers

Justin Lorimer, President. Justin has served on the Foundation Board for the past decade.  He is active on both the Project Wee Care and Annual Scholarship Golf Scramble committees.  He is a Realtor with ReMax Results.

Rick Blessing, Vice President.  Rick has been a Project Wee Care volunteer since 2006 when the Millard Business Association adopted Project Wee Care.  He has witnessed the project grow from helping a few families to 345 in 2023.  Rick is a financial advisor with MassMutual.

Chris Janovec, Secretary. Chris is active on the Project Wee Care committee.  She takes a special interest in the project as a Psychologist in the Millard Public Schools.

Janet Nelson, Treasurer.  Janet is active in all areas of the Foundation, and also serves as the Scholarship Chairperson for the six $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors from Millard High Schools and Skutt High School.  Janet is employed at First National Bank.

Sponsorships Support Our Families

Project Wee Care and the Annual Scholarship Golf Scramble are the Millard Business Community Foundations (MBCF) two major programs to support youth in the  Millard area.

Sponsorships are one way businesses, organizations or individuals can support those efforts.  In 2023, Project Wee Care provided a ‘handup’ to 345 families (921 Youth) and proceeds from the Golf Scramble provided six $2,000 Scholarships to high school seniors.

Here is a quick run down on Sponsorship Opportunities:

Annual Scholarship Golf Scramble

  • Birdie Sponsor: $150. Sign to be posted on tee box. Do not need to be present.
  • Eagle Sponsor: $300.Sign to be posted on tee box Plus opportunity for organization representative(s) on tee box to greet participants. Two Dinner tickets.
  • Mega Putt Sponsor: $250. Logo and signage at the Mega Putt hole prior to Shot Gun start. 60 second speech before Mega Putt.
  • Par-Tee Time Sponsor: $300. Logo and signage at one of the Beverage Huts. Representative(s) can have table/booth at Hut to greet participants. Two Dinner Tickets.
  • Fore! Finders Sponsor: $300. Logo placed on golf cart’s GPS screens. One for front 9 and one for back 9. Do not need to be present.
  • The Greens Sponsor:$350. Signage and logo displayed during reception and dinner. Two dinner tickets.
  • The Master’s Sponsor: $1,000. Foursome for Golf Scramble. Sign to be posted on tee box (Birdie Sponsor). Four dinner tickets. Logo on “Welcome Banner”. Logo on Millard Business Community Foundation website for 12 months
  • All sponsors will receive shoutouts on social media and email newsletter, listed on Golf Scramble Program, and lead lists.
  • Sponsor a Golf Foursome: $600. 18 holes of fun scramble golf, prizes, fun, reception with food.

Project Wee Care

  • Sponsor a Child: $75. You provide the funds, our volunteers will do the shopping.
  • Adopt to Shop: We’ll provide the youth information on needs and wants and you do the shopping
  • Support a Family: $300. Sponsorship will provide funds for food and gifts for a family of four.
  • Help Feed Our Families. Provide funds from $150 to $1,000 to support a family (Families).
  • Donate $25 Gift Cards and MBCF will match by purchasing an equal amount for a family outing (restaurant, sporting event, movies, fun activities, etc.).
