Project Wee Care

Providing Hope to 330 nominated families thru food, gifts and a family event during the holidays

Project Wee Care 2024 North Pole Family Event Day is December 14 where we hope to provide a little more HOPE to our 330 families.  The family event features Santa, Mrs Santa, photo opportunities, eye screening, support animals, crafts, kids picking gifts for parents, and connections to needed services for food, diapers, clothing, beds, mental health and other services.  Families left with food, gifts for all family members, diapers, new connections and HOPE.

We are looking for 200 volunteers over three shifts to help provide that hope to our families on December 14..  However, there are volunteer opportunities between now and December 14 to make an impact.

Since 2006 when the Millard Business Association adopted this project, over 19,200 total family members have been served, including almost 1600 in 2023.

An organizing committee works year round to prepare for the project that culminates  December 14 with the North Pole Event Day.  Waters Edge Church, 19600 Harrison, hosts the North Pole. Individuals, civic organizations, Churches, and businesses will adopt families to shop for gifts or provide financial support for gifts, food and food vouchers.

Project Wee Care committee works with the Millard Public Schools to identify families needing support and a ‘handup’ for the holidays.

We need your help to make Project Wee Care 2024 a success.

Check out our links below with more details on volunteering, Adopt to Shop program, and providing financial support.

The North Pole Family Day runs from 9 AM to 3 PM on December 14.  You can choose from one or more of the three shifts and the volunteer activity you wish to help in.
